Off to AZ We Go-Part 2--Music in the Blood

As I look at my family, I want to thank the genetic genuis that gave us the gift of music! It amazes me how we are either players or drawn to it naturally. What a beautiful way to express yourself...
While we were on our trip, I was able to see two generations that love to play the notes...one a little more trained then the other.
As you can see below here is my "little" brother, all handsome, hangin' with some friends; ready for his performance with the Southern Arizona Regional Honor Band. I was so excited that we were able to see him perform. What a difference from the days in 5th grade, when we all smiled and clicked (picture taking) our way through the screeching....AHHHH...Good times....

Here I am...always the groupie...and, I am sure, embarassing Jon (because I know how much he LOVES that) trying to get a picture of him on stage!

It was amazing to listen to the beautiful music these talented High Schoolers created in 1 day. The amount of skill it took to learn the music and perform it in that time, boggles my mind...but they all walked up there and "killed" it! Their performances also garnered a standing ovation and "BRAVO!" from Dominic Jr (which was a tear jerker for all).

Then a few days later, we were presented with that "natural draw" that I mentioned before...

While celebrating Christmas (yes in February...) at my Dad and Shelia's, Gianni decided to jump on the drums and play us a few tunes. Here are some cute pictures of that performance!

Then, that got me thinking...a little de-ja-vu if you will...see below...

Yes...that would be Dominic Jr at about the same age. Boy time does fly when you are having fun AND making music!
