Our Little Gymnast

In September, we enrolled Gianni in an activity.
I have always felt bad that he hasn't been able to play any sports because of his age, he's only been allowed to play on the sidelines watching big brother.
So, we got him set up in classes at Classic Gymnastics and a gymnast was born!
When I say that, I really mean it... if I knew a famous male gymnast name I would equate Gianni D'Arpino to that!
He walked into the gym and took over.
They start on the floor with stretches. Here he is picking his square...of course it would be yellow (his favorite color) and purple for Mommy.Although this picture is a bit dark, here he is on the balance beam with Coach Heather.
He really didn't understand that running wasn't an option on the beam...at least not yet! I guess he wanted to show off that he was a star in the gym, because he wanted me to take a picture of him with his star!
What a wonderful way to tire out a two year old with endless energy.

Watch Out Kindergarten Here I Come

Of course September came and went because we were getting back into the groove of our schedule.
Only this one was different...now we have a Kindergartner.
I have to admit that I actually did well, the tears didn't come until after I was walking outside of the school.
How did this happen? My oldest already heading off to "real" school.
Here he is walking up to Hilltop Primary School.
At first he was disappointed that he didn't get to ride the bus, but then I really sold the VIP treatment on the Mom bus...TVs, juice and snacks...Not standard on the big yellow rides.
Then he wanted to show me his frog on the classroom door to make sure we were in the right room! He was so responsible.
He of course was blessed with an AMAZING teacher too, so when he came home that day he was very excited to share how the day unfolded.
YEAH School!
