September brought football into our lives!
After months of offering it to Dominic Jr. and him refusing to want to do it...I did what any loving parent does, sign him up for it anyway...
It wasn't to annoy him, just to push him out of his comfort zone a bit...I was being therapeutic!
Either way you look at it...it was a BIG hit. He loved it and we loved watching him learn it.
Jr is in the bottom left of this picture in the grey t-shirt.
Westonka offered this football camp to K-4, to help them learn the basics of football. Rules and moves abound! It was coached by the Mound Westonka HS football team and they were so amazing with the kids. It was an awesome program, that we will be taking every fall with both boys. What a great way for younger boys to experience a role model.
Finally, I had to add this video of Dominic at a station where he took "hitting" a little too literally...it was too funny not to share!

Our First Twinkies Game

When Dom won tickets to our first Twins baseball game, the boys were over the moon!
We loaded up and headed down to the Metrodome, paid an un-Godly amount to park, and headed inside.
The seats were amazing, here is a picture of Justin Morneau, helping the pitcher warm up.
The other fun part of the night was that you could send in pictures to be shown on the Jumbo-tron in the 5th inning and here's the picture that Dom Sr. sent!Yum!
Here are the boys patiently waiting for the concessions to be brought down to our area.
I think that was partially because the Twins were getting killed by the Oakland A's...We'd finally had enough, so we packed up the boys with their new Twins hats and headed for the car. They had a great time and so did Mom and Dad.
We weren't very far out of the parking lot when I caught this last shot...
Those look like two wiped out boys!
